We offer several ways of making recordings: a 1,000 CD package, concert, hourly session rate, and "Sonare Lite."
Our complete CD package includes everything you need: two unlimited days of recording, a day of editing with the director before we leave, mastering (when the noises are removed and the final CD gets the "sonic polish"), 1,000 CDs that includes custom graphic design, deluxe full-size jewel case, 4-page (color cover) booklet, color traycard, clear tray (with black and white image underneath), color imprint on the CDs, UPC barcode, shrinkwrap, and worldwide distribution through the Klarity Music website. It also includes necessary courier charges. The package never includes unpleasant surprises that can embarrass you or put your budget in jeopardy.
Your complete cost (not including shipping or copyright fees) is $5500. This means that after selling about 370 CDs at $15, your recording expenses are recouped, and you will earn $9,500 on the project! PLEASE NOTE: you are responsible for copyright payments on non-public domain material. We are happy to guide you through this process.
For those with a complete project or even a single concert that needs mastering, we can offer such sonic "polishing." This includes (but is not limited to) equalization, reverberation. noise removal (HVAC or page turns), and other "magic wand" processing. We then produce a DDP 2.0 disc that goes to the pressing plant for superior data integrity. Why take a chance on a "music CD"? Do it the way the major labels do!
We also offer live performance recording options that reflect the reality that the larger or more musically complex the performance usually requires more microphones. However, more mics means more time to set them up (and their cables) and then take them down. More post-production time is needed to adjust a "mix" of the additional tracks. The basic performance price represents up to two pair of mics. For 5 mics the base price is $400, and increases $50 for each microphone. POST-PRODUCTION TIME ("MIXING") IS INCLUDED WITH THE ADDITIONAL FEE. The dress rehearsal can also be recorded for half of the concert fee.
For those who desire for their recording to be released on a CD label, we have relationships with several independent labels who offer distribution and other marketing advantages. We can supply more details after talking with you about your project.
During a recording project, the last thing an artist needs is the nagging thought of the clock ticking away the dollars. To enable you to think only about the music, we offer a day-rate in which the only recording session time constraint is your concentration and endurance.
For those with different needs, we offer the traditional hourly rate, but with a three-hour minimum plus setup charge.
In response to inquiries, we now offer the "Sonare Lite" option for those who only want one day of recording and a few hundred CDs. You can have one unlimited day of recording, up to 6 hours of editing/mastering, plus custom graphic design. All this and 200 CDs for $2650. Sell those and you've profited $200!
